After naptime, Doug was pitching in with the cashew chicken (he's the wok master of our house). So, I had to come up with some way for the girls to occupy themselves while we both worked. Voila! A homemade, indoor water table did the trick:

Keeping the Girls Busy
Yesterday I attempted to cook nine recipes for OAMC. I did get eight completed and have 32 chimichangas to make today. Doug's primary duty on these days is to entertain the girls. I found a cute craft for them to make - a photo house card. They all had fun!

A Glorious Day for Apples
The weather could not have been more perfect: blue sky, warm sun, and cool breezes. We picked some Gala (which are OUT OF THIS WORLD delicious), Jonathon, Red and Golden Delicious and some Honey Crisp apples. The Honey Crisp was the biggest disappointment. They were small, few and far between. These are my favorite apples ever! They run close to $3/lb in the grocery store, but all apples at the orchard were only $0.62/lb, so my bargain shopper gene was going haywire. Maybe next year they'll be bigger?
It was a great time. The place was not busy at all, and they had free parking and free tractor rides. We will definitely be going back for our pumpkins in a few weekends!
