Yummy Fabric

I've got it in my head to try and earn some $ and save some $ using my sewing machine. My grand idea is to make some nursing covers (like the one I used with E), aprons and eco-shopping bags. I can give some as gifts and then try to do a craft show or bazaar and see how they would sell.

I stumbled across this great quilting store nearby that just happened to have a 25% sale last week. They have an awesome selection of designer fabrics, and I had a blast picking out a few to start with.

We'll see how it goes!

If you decide to sell things online, you should try Etsy - I love that site.

Oh, I see Amy Butler fabric. She is one of my favorite designers! And the one fabric with the pink flowers is what I made Avery's Easter skirt out of. Did you find these buys at the quilting store in Noblesville? I love that place! And if you need a pattern for the nursing covers of the eco-bags, let me know. I have found some nice tutorials on-line for both:) We should get together and sew. I am always looking for a sewing buddy! And Etsy is awesome. I could spent hours on there browsing!

I made my nursing shawl without a pattern, but have also found an online tutorial for the eco-bags. Send me your links, though, I'd love to see what you found!

I looked on etsy to see how much people were charging for their stuff and that's how I found Amy Butler fabric. :-)

Very pretty fabrics. You can use your new sewing machine to add a decorative stitch to the edges. Also if you or any of your friends need some Christmas fabrics I have some pretty ones you can have.

Those fabrics are so cute! They'll be perfect for your sewing projects. Hey, hopefully I'll need a nursing cover in the somewhat near future. I'd love to buy one from you!
